The BioTF device measures low levels of fluorescence in turbid solutions of biological fluids thanks to the synthesis of innovative technologies. Significantly simplifies the procedure for standard microbiological research, increases the accuracy of determination, reducing the determination time by hundreds of times. This allows for express diagnostics in medicine and operational microbiological control of food and hygiene products directly in retail chains and in production. The BioTF turbidofluorimeter is included in GOST 34472-2018 “Raw milk. Turbidofluorimetric express method for determining bacterial contamination." The device includes several methods at once: Microbiological control of milk pasteurization: START (GOST) and START 3D (ISO); Biochemical control of milk pasteurization: ALP; Express control of production hygiene: PRO; Control of inhibitory substances in milk: INST. Microbiological express control of raw milk (Start). The test tube contains a fluorogenic probe, which is metabolized by microorganisms and begins to fluoresce. The total number of microorganisms is calculated automatically based on the dynamics of microbial activity. Microbiological express control of pasteurized milk (PAST). The test tube contains a mixture of fluorogenic substrates that participate in microbial metabolism to produce fluorescent products. The fluorescence intensity of products is directly proportional to the biochemical activity of microorganisms. The method allows you to identify microorganisms that often do not grow on agar nutrient media, but cause spoilage of pasteurized milk. Express assessment of the effectiveness of pasteurization of milk and dairy products based on the residual activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Activity is determined by a kinetic method in the biochemical reaction of hydrolysis of phosphate of a non-fluorescent substrate by alkaline phosphatase, which then turns into a fluorescent form. The fluorescence rate is directly proportional to alkaline phosphatase activity. The “ALP” application records fluorescence dynamics, calculates the numerical value of alkaline phosphatase activity and issues a conclusion about the effectiveness of pasteurization. Express hygiene control. Determination of residual protein concentration (RPC). The total amount of protein is determined in the range from 0.3 to 30.0 μg/ml by fluorescence intensity during a specific reaction with a fluorogenic substrate. The method is characterized by high sensitivity and reproducibility. This allows it to be successfully used in standardizing critical points and statistically predicting the effectiveness of hygiene measures in production. The PRO application calculates the protein concentration and issues a conclusion about the effectiveness of washing and disinfection in accordance with the established threshold values.
