Lumbar puncture trainer Zarnitza
The Zarnitza Lumbar Puncture Trainer is a replica of the lower spine with the sacrum and coccyx for practicing the epidural puncture technique. Exercises can be performed in a standing or lying position. The L1 and L2 sections of the spinal column are covered with plexiglass. The covering of the simulator completely imitates human skin; the spinous processes of the spine are palpated through it to localize the puncture site. To make the exercises more realistic, the spinal canal is filled with fluid.
