Veber NewStar MAK90 AZII Telescope
Veber NewStar MAK90 AZII is a long-focus mirror-lens telescope for those who like to study near space and conduct ground-based observations, with serious eyepieces included - perfect for both the first acquaintance with astronomy and for already advanced users. The most compact telescope in the line of Veber NewStar telescopes - the length of the telescope telescope is only 28 cm. Light weight, reliable design and ease of assembly allow you to take it with you on trips, out of town, or install it on the balcony. The design of the telescope makes it not only a research instrument, but also an interesting piece of modern interior design. What can you see? The maximum magnitude of the telescope is 13.3m - this means that through the telescope you can view the Moon and the planets of the Solar System: lunar craters more than 5 kilometers in size, the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, the phases of Venus and much more. And also the brightest deep space objects in the Messier catalogue, which is more than 100 objects observed in the northern hemisphere. Veber NewStar MAK90 AZII is a mirror-lens telescope of the Maksutov-Cassegrain system in a metal case with an aperture of 90 mm, a focal length of 1200 mm, eyepieces PL10 and K25 and an angular prism of 90°. Red Dot finder with laser illumination. The telescope tube is connected to an azimuth mount mounted on a tripod using a mounting platform. The focus of the telescope is adjusted using the adjustment knob located on the back of the telescope. Mirror-lens telescopes are easy to set up and do not require constant adjustment of the mirror. The visible image is clear, with high resolution and a wide viewing angle without aberrations. The set includes eyepieces PL10 (symmetrical Plösl eyepiece) and K25 (Kelner design) with coated FMC optics. Replacing eyepieces leads to a change in magnification ratio – 120x, 48x, respectively. A 90º angular prism with a mounting diameter for 1.25“ eyepieces is installed in the telescope focuser tube and wraps the image for convenient observation, so that the telescope can also be used as a high-power telescope. A Red Dot finder with laser illumination is included to help target celestial or terrestrial objects. Coin-cell battery CR2032 3V included. To adjust the finder parallel to the optical axis of the telescope, adjustment screws are provided on the body for adjustment in height and azimuth. The finder is mounted on the body of the telescope tube using a bracket and allows the observer to quickly focus on the area where the object is located. The telescope tube is mounted on an azimuth mount using a dovetail mount. Precise control of the alt-azimuth mount is achieved using two flexible fine adjustment knobs that transmit rotation to the worm gear. A full turn of each knob moves the telescope by only a few degrees. The mount provides the ability to quickly point the telescope tube at the observation area without long rotation of the handles: the spring-loaded wings on the mount’s rotation axes are loosened, the tube is manually rotated in the direction of the observation area, and the wings are tightened. Further control is carried out by flexible handles. The height of the metal tripod is adjustable from 72 cm to 124 cm due to the telescopic design with screw locks. Plastic supports on the legs prevent the tripod from scratching the floor surface. When using the telescope in “field” conditions, the plastic supports are twisted upward and the tripod is installed on an uneven surface on “spikes”. To accurately level the tripod, a large bubble level with a diameter of 25 mm is placed on top of the body, and to provide stability, a stretcher with a tray is attached, which also serves as a shelf for eyepieces.
