Levenhuk Ra 150C Cassegrain Kit Telescope
Levenhuk Ra 150C Cassegrain OTA is an optical tube that is built around two mirrors. The primary has the shape of a parabola, the secondary - a hyperbola. This scheme is called a Cassegrain reflector and is interesting, first of all, because it is completely free from spherical distortions. Also, astigmatism and field of view curvature are well corrected here. This OTA is ideal for deep space visual observations and will appeal to experienced amateur astronomers who have high demands on their telescopes. The optics material is quartz glass, supplemented with coatings based on silicon dioxide and aluminum. The reflectance level is within 92~96%. The main element of the focusing system is a backlash-free two-speed Crayford focuser. Thanks to it, sharpness adjustment is smooth and precise. The OTA is attached to the mount using a dovetail plate, so it can be installed on almost any modern mount. The design also includes a finder holder. The optical tube is made of steel and has a very high-quality internal blackening. Please note: mount, tripod, finderscope and eyepieces are not included.
