Telescope GSO Dob 8", silver

The GSO Dob 8" telescope is a high-aperture Newtonian reflector with an aperture of 200 mm. Its capabilities, by and large, are limited only by the state of the atmosphere, but it itself is capable of showing a lot. It will be possible to examine in detail many globular clusters, the structure of a large number of galaxies and nebulae, hundreds of objects from the NGC catalog. Near space is clearly visible right up to Saturn, some planets even have visible satellites. You can see on the Moon craters with a diameter of 2 km. High image detail is made possible thanks to the parabolic main mirror - it is responsible for image formation. Throughout the entire range of useful magnification, there will be no optical distortion in the image, and the image resolution will please even the most demanding user. The only thing you need to do sometimes is to adjust the optics, but this procedure is greatly simplified by marking the center of the mirror. There is a fan on the back wall of the optical tube that cools the main mirror. This speeds up the thermal stabilization of the optics by approximately two times. That is, if you take the telescope from a warm room to a cold street, you can start observing much faster, since the temperature of the mirror will quickly become equal to the ambient temperature. Let us recall that when the temperature is not equalized, noticeable artifacts appear in the picture, interfering with observations. The cooling system runs on batteries, which are purchased separately. The Dobson mount is perhaps the easiest to operate and does not cause any difficulties in mastering. But not only beginners, but also professionals love it. Including the fact that it is more convenient for long-term observations and more stable. It can also be quickly disassembled and assembled, which is important for astronomical field trips. In addition, the mount of the GSO Dob 8" telescope is conveniently complemented by a shelf for accessories. Let's say a few words about the configuration. It has everything you need for a quick start: an optical finder with achromatic lenses (used for searching for objects) and a Super Plössl 25 mm eyepiece for overview observations. Its mounting diameter is 1.25 inches, so it is installed in the focuser using an adapter, which is also included in the kit.
