Telescope GSO Dob 10", silver

The GSO Dob 10" telescope is suitable for both beginners and experienced astronomers, since it is very easy to work with, and you can see a lot. Since it is a reflector, its main area of application is deep space. It can look at hundreds and even thousands of objects from the NGC catalog: nebulae, galaxies, star clusters and much more. You can see the structure of many objects. The telescope also allows you to clearly view the Solar System: up to Saturn it will be visible in sufficient detail, then - no details. A parabolic main mirror is installed inside, which gives a higher quality and clearer image than a spherical one. There is virtually no optical distortion in the image, even when magnifications of 400–500x are used. And the telescope is quite capable of “accelerating” to such a magnification, but you will need to purchase additional eyepieces. The mirror has a center marking - this will greatly simplify adjustment if necessary. But the main feature of this telescope is the presence of active cooling. If you take a telescope from a warm room to a cold street, its mirror will be significantly “hotter” than the environment. Because of this, unwanted artifacts will be visible in the picture. Therefore, observations should be started only after thermal stabilization - equalization of the temperature of the optics. Under normal conditions, this takes several hours for any reflector, but cooling the GSO Dob 10" telescope speeds up the process by about half. The fan runs on batteries, which are purchased separately. The Dobsonian mount is very easy to learn, which is why it is a favorite of many beginning astronomers. Experienced users like it for its reliability and stability. It is also convenient to transport a telescope on a Dobsonian mount, since it only takes a few minutes to assemble and disassemble. There is a small shelf for accessories on the side wall of the mount. The GSO Dob 10" telescope is completely ready for use! The package already includes the necessary accessories that will allow you to quickly start making observations. To search for objects, an optical finder with achromatic lenses is used, and for observations, a universal Super Plössl 25 mm eyepiece is used for overview observations.
