Levenhuk Ra 200N Dob Dobsonian Telescope
The Levenhuk Ra 200N Dob Dobsonian telescope is a powerful and bright Newtonian reflector that can show thousands of deep space objects. It can also be used on the Moon and planets. This telescope will image the dust clouds of Mars, the rings of Saturn, the atmosphere of Jupiter and even the Galilean moons. Nothing can limit the capabilities of the 200mm aperture except weather and atmospheric conditions. The telescope will appeal to demanding users who want to see as much of the beauty of space as possible. And simple controls will allow even a beginner to experience it. The image is formed by a parabolic primary mirror. It is supplemented with aluminum coating, the reflectivity of which is 92~96%. Thanks to this, the optics create a sharp and clear image that does not suffer from optical distortion even at maximum magnification. The two-speed Crayford focuser provides smooth, precise focus adjustments and does not sag even when using heavy attachments. One of the features of this telescope is the active cooling of the main mirror, which runs on batteries (purchased separately). It speeds up the thermal stabilization of the optics, i.e., it allows you to quickly begin observations if the telescope has been taken out of a warm room into a cold street. Without cooling, you usually have to wait several hours for the mirror to “cool down,” but a fan speeds up this process by about half. The optical tube is mounted on a Dobsonian mount, which is controlled manually. Although the mount has a classic appearance, the inside is much improved. The high-altitude bearing and balancing system allows you to quickly and accurately move the optical tube up or down a few centimeters and achieve optimal stability. This is useful when using heavy eyepieces or an additional finderscope. There are scales on the sides of the mount that help with balancing. Also, improved bearings make the mount move smoother and softer, they are more reliable and resistant to friction, which increases their service life. The telescope comes with basic optical accessories that will allow you to start making observations right away. These are two eyepieces with different focal lengths and an 8x50 mm optical finder.
