Glass viscometers VPZh-4 designed to determine the kinematic viscosity of transparent liquids (oils, paints, colloidal solutions, grease, gases). Viscometers measure viscosity at positive temperatures. Viscosity measurement is based on determining the time of flow of a liquid volume through a capillary from a special outlet of a measuring tank under the influence of a pressure difference. The accuracy of the viscometer is due to its design, which provides for the formation of a “hanging level” when the liquid flows. Thus, the flow time of the liquid does not depend on the hydrostatic pressure and the amount of liquid poured into the viscometer. The viscometer is widely used in such industries as: oil refineries; pulp and paper production; manufacturing of textile products; polymer production; polyamide production; enterprises for the production of motor oils with additives; production of viscous road bitumen.
