Optical polarizing microscope MAGUS Pol 800

MAGUS Pol 800 is a polarizing microscope for studying anisotropic objects. Observations are carried out in transmitted light using two methods: polarization and bright field. The microscope is equipped with stress-free lenses, so it does not introduce unwanted reflections into the image. The image transmitted by the optics is clear, contrasty, with good rendering of small details. The microscope is suitable for working with biological, polymer and geological objects and can be used for research and diagnostic work in various fields of science, as well as for teaching university students. Optical design The microscope is a trinocular, i.e. it has two eyepiece tubes for direct observations and a separate visualization channel into which a digital camera is installed (not included). Light flux switching – 100/0 or 0/100. For the convenience of the user, a diopter adjustment ring is placed on the left tube - with its help, an equally sharp image is achieved for both eyes of the user. In addition, the eyepiece tubes have a convenient inclination of 30° for long-term work. The revolver is designed to accommodate five lenses. Since there are four of them in the set, one slot remains free - you can install an additional lens from the MAGUS line of accessories into it. The objectives are infinity-corrected planchromats designed for 0.17 mm thick coverslips. The revolver turned “away from the observer” allows you to see the working lens, which is convenient for the user. The turret sockets can be centered. Lighting system The source of transmitted light is a 30-watt halogen lamp. The lighting is bright, “warm” in color temperature, comfortable for the eyes - it creates optimal conditions for effective long-term work. It is possible to adjust the lighting using the Köhler method to obtain images in maximum resolution over the entire field of view. The microscope contains an analyzer and a polarizer. To change the polarization angle, they are rotated relative to each other. The intermediate attachment contains a slot for compensators and a Bertrand lens. With the help of compensators, the contrast of objects is enhanced, and the Bertrand lens is used for conoscopy. Mechanics The sample is placed on a centered and rotated stage. The table has rotation angle marks and a measuring scale, which can be used to determine the angle with an accuracy of 0.1°. Focusing knobs allow for coarse and fine focusing. There is a stiffness regulator and a coarse focusing blocker. Accessories Additional accessories are available for the microscope - with their help you can get the most out of optics and expand the functionality of the device. The line includes eyepieces, lenses, calibration slides, and digital cameras.
