Optical microscope MAGUS Bio 230B
The MAGUS Bio 230B biological microscope with achromatic optics and halogen illumination is designed for observing thin biological samples in transmitted light. The research method is bright field (as standard); when installing additional accessories (purchased separately), you can use dark field methods, phase-contrast microscopy and polarized light. The microscope is suitable for laboratory and research work in the fields of medicine, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, forensics, environmental protection, etc. Optical design On the left tube of the binocular attachment there is a diopter adjustment mechanism. 360° rotation of the eyepiece tubes ensures comfortable operation for users of different heights. The revolving device has 5 slots for installing lenses: 4 achromatic lenses are included in the kit and 1 lens can be installed additionally. The revolver is turned “away from the observer,” i.e., there is enough free space above the object table. In the basic configuration, the magnification of the microscope ranges from 40 to 1000 times; additional eyepieces increase the magnification limit to 1500, 1600 and even 2000 times. Since the optics are infinity corrected, additional components can be installed in the optical path to expand the capabilities of the microscope. To display images on a computer monitor, the microscope is equipped with a digital camera. It is installed in place of one of the eyepieces. Lighting system The 30W lamp produces bright illumination, sufficient to work with all lenses, including phase contrast and darkfield techniques. Halogen light is pleasant to the eyes, they do not get tired when working with a microscope for a long time. Light from the illuminator passes through an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. Its position under the object stage is adjustable both vertically and horizontally: there is height adjustment and centering. The condenser is complemented by a slot for installing a slider - phase or dark-field. It is convenient to use the slider if you need to quickly switch between different research methods while working. A field diaphragm is also available, i.e. the Köhler method can be used to adjust the lighting. Mechanics The main feature of the stage is the absence of a retractable rail, which can create inconvenience when working with a microscope. Here it is removed, so the ergonomics of use are higher. The removable specimen guide ensures smooth and precise movement of the sample. The coaxial arrangement of the coarse and fine focusing handles is convenient for work: they are located at the bottom, so you don’t have to hold your hands up, but put them on the table. Coarse focusing has mechanisms for adjusting rigidity and locking the stroke. The focus itself is adjusted effortlessly and smoothly.
