Levenhuk 2S NG Optical Microscope
Levenhuk 2S NG is a high-quality biological microscope accessible to everyone. It is designed for studying transparent micropreparations in transmitted light. Coated glass optics and a reliable metal body, ease of use - these qualities make it an excellent microscope for an inquisitive teenager. The maximum magnification provided by this microscope is 200x - this is not enough for serious research, but it is quite enough to take the first steps into the microworld. The eyepiece and lens of the microscope are located on the same line, but it is possible to tilt the optical tube of the microscope together with the stage for ease of observation (it is worth considering that when working with liquid microspecimens, they may drain). The design of the microscope uses an achromatic lens, which significantly reduces image distortion. All optical lens elements are made of high-quality optical glass and have a multi-layer anti-reflective coating. Microspecimens are illuminated using a concave mirror with a diameter of 40 mm, so the microscope does not require batteries or an electrical connection. Behind the mirror there is a disk with diaphragms, using which you can adjust the amount of light entering the microspecimen to create optimal lighting conditions. The object table measuring 90x100 mm is equipped with holders for microspecimens. The large stroke of the focusing mechanism allows even people with severe myopia or farsightedness to work with the microscope. The microscope body is completely metal, which has a positive effect on the durability of the device, and thanks to its massive base, the risk of accidental overturning of the microscope during operation is practically eliminated.
