Optical metallographic microscope MAGUS Metal 600
Here is a metallographic microscope MAGUS Metal 600 for studying metal and semiconductor plane-parallel sections with a highly reflective surface under study and a height of no more than 20 mm. Opaque objects are examined in reflected light using bright field and simple polarization methods. It is also possible to work with translucent samples - thin films, objects on filters - in transmitted light in a bright field. The microscope is used for quality control and research work in areas where metal analysis is required: in the nuclear and energy industries, metallurgical and mechanical engineering enterprises, and technical universities. Optical design The microscope is trinocular, i.e. a separate visualization channel is provided for installing a digital camera (not included in the kit). Using a luminous flux divider, the light is redirected entirely to the eyepieces or to the digital camera. A visual tilt of 30° is convenient for long-term work. Diopter adjustment can be made on the left eyepiece tube. The magnification of the microscope out of the box ranges from 50 to 600 times, and optional eyepieces and lenses are used to expand the capabilities of the optics. The revolving device is designed to install 5 lenses, 4 lenses are already included in the kit. The lenses are plan achromatic, with an increased working distance, designed for working in a bright field. The turret device is turned "away from the observer" so that the user can see the working lens. Lighting system The reflected light lighting system includes a 30 W halogen lamp, built-in field and aperture diaphragms, as well as a set of filters and a simple polarization device. Thus, the Köhler method and observations in bright field and polarized light are available in reflected light. The diaphragms and the illuminator are centered. The brightness of the illuminator is adjustable. The lighting is provided in a warm spectrum, pleasant for long-term work. The source of transmitted light is also a 30 W halogen lamp with adjustable brightness. There is an aperture diaphragm (in the condenser) and a field diaphragm, so the Köhler method is also available for transmitted light. The Abbe condenser is complemented by a folding lens for working with low magnification lenses. The position of the condenser is adjustable in height and horizontally. Mechanics The sample is moved by moving the object stage along two axes. The glass insert is designed for studying translucent samples. The sample size should not exceed 20 mm. Sharpness is adjusted using the coarse and fine focusing knobs. The coarse focus locker is located on the right side of the body, and the travel stiffness regulator is located on the left. The handles are coaxial and moved closer to the base so that you can rest your hands on the table while adjusting the focus. Accessories A line of fully compatible accessories has been developed for the MAGUS Metal 600 microscope: lenses with extended working distances, eyepieces, calibration slides and digital cameras.
