Optical fluorescence microscope MAGUS Lum 400L
MAGUS Lum 400L is a direct fluorescent microscope, which is used to study pathogens of various diseases, blood smears, bone marrow, and also conduct forensic examinations, chromosomal analysis, DNA analysis, etc. The luminescence method is available for reflected light, while the bright field method is used for transmitted light. The microscope can be supplemented with simple polarization and phase contrast devices, a dark-field condenser - all of them are available in the MAGUS brand line of accessories. Optical design The presence of a trinocular attachment allows not only direct observations on the microscope, but also the use of a digital camera for photo and video recording. The camera is installed in the vertical imaging channel; it is not included in the kit. The eyepiece tubes of the nozzle rotate 360°, so the viewing height can be easily adjusted to the height of any user. The revolving device turned away from the observer frees up space above the table, making the working lens clearly visible. This makes the researcher's work more convenient. The revolver can accommodate five lenses, four are already included in the basic package. All lenses are infinity-corrected planchromats: three are used for brightfield, one (microfluar) for luminescence. An optional lens is installed in the free slot to provide additional magnification on the microscope. Lighting system The reflected light source is four LEDs: blue (B), green (G), violet (V) and ultraviolet (UV). The power of each LED is 5 W - this is sufficient power to work on any lens in any research method. LEDs have a long service life of 50,000 hours. They do not overheat during long-term operation, are easy to maintain and are the safest basis for luminescence. Therefore, a fluorescent microscope with LED lighting is the optimal choice for teaching in universities. For passing lighting, an LED is also used, but with a power of 3 W. It is complemented by a brightfield condenser, with which the intensity of illumination of the work area is adjusted. The condenser has a slot for installing a darkfield or phase contrast slider. The slider is a quick and easy way to get an additional research method on your microscope without replacing the condenser. Lighting adjustment using the Köhler method is possible for both transmitted and reflected light. This way you can achieve the clearest possible image without darkening around the edges and with a minimum of artifacts. Mechanics The microscope is equipped with an ergonomically shaped stage. It does not have a retractable rack, which can be inconvenient for constant use - it is easy to get caught on it. Especially for observations in reflected light, a black insert is included in the package - it is installed on the microscope to protect against stray reflections from the transmitted light illuminator. Another feature of the table is a removable drug holder. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs provide precise and smooth focusing. The rigidity of the coarse focusing stroke can be adjusted to the most comfortable level, and coarse focusing can also be locked if necessary. Accessories A wide range of compatible accessories allows you to quickly expand the functionality of the microscope. In addition to devices for various research methods, it also includes eyepieces, lenses, digital cameras, and calibration slides.
