Vacuum pump Komovsky "EDULAB"
The Komovsky vacuum pump "EDULAB" is designed to create vacuum and air pressure in vessels. The pump is used when conducting demonstration experiments with a Newton tube, Magdeburg hemispheres, a baroscope, a Heron ball, a pressure gauge, for staging the "fountain in emptiness" experiment, demonstrating the propagation of sound waves, electric discharge in rarefied air, as well as other experiments requiring low and high pressure. Pump mounted on a stand, rubber tube, industrial oil. The device is an oil piston pump based on air cut-off. The movement of the piston is ensured by a connecting rod and crank mechanism connected to a manual drive. The vacuum pump has two nipples: suction and discharge. A flexible vacuum hose is attached to the pump to create a vacuum of air in closed vessels. The residual pressure created by the pump is 133 Pa. The excess pressure created by the pump is 0.4 MPa. The body material is metal, the tube material is rubber.
