Electrodynamics demo set
The set is intended for performing demonstration experiments and modeling calculations in which the properties of electrical circuits with capacitors and inductors are studied, as well as for studying the topic “Alternating electric current”. What will the child learn? Ensures that students perform demonstration experiments and study: charging a capacitor, discharging a capacitor, the energy of a charged capacitor, electromagnetic induction, the phenomenon of self-induction, capacitor and inductor in an alternating current circuit. Working method Allows you to teach the main stages of conducting experimental research, and also allows you to conduct joint research with students. Composition: Capacitor (4 pcs.) Inductor coil with a resistance of 20 Ohms Ferrite core Coil-coil (2 pcs.) Simulation software, which consists of 3 blocks dedicated to modeling the processes of charging and discharging a capacitor, the start and stop of current flow through the inductor, as well as modeling free oscillations in an oscillatory circuit The values of the elements are selected in such a way as to ensure a noticeable difference in the natural frequencies of the oscillatory circuits assembled on their basis. The entire set is equipped with a plastic storage system with a tray, which is closed with a transparent lid. Methodological support The kit contains a methodological manual for conducting experiments, which contains instructions for performing 10 experiments on assembled installations. The kit also includes guidelines for performing modeling, which contain a description of all three blocks of the modeling program and descriptions of 2 calculation tasks (experiments) performed using each of the blocks of the calculation model. Examples of experiments The kit provides 10 demonstration experiments on the following topics: Charging a capacitor Discharging a capacitor Energy of a charged capacitor Electromagnetic induction The phenomenon of self-induction Capacitor in an alternating current circuit Inductor in an alternating current circuit Series alternating current circuit Resonance in a series oscillatory circuit Dependence of the resonant frequency on the parameters of the circuit Operating principle of a transformer To carry out experiments, an additional power source with a voltage of at least 12V is required, for example, a 24V power supply adjustable and a load current of up to 10A, plus a generator with an output signal amplitude of at least 10V and smooth frequency control in the range from 10Hz to 10kHz.
