Demonstration set “Dynamics of Rotational Motion”
The demonstration set “Dynamics of Rotational Motion” provides 10 demonstration experiments on rotational and oscillatory motions, inertial reference systems, and centripetal acceleration: 1. Newton’s second law for uniform rotation in a circle 2. Conical pendulum 3. Rotation of a system of coupled bodies 4. Simulation of Stern’s experiment 5. Foucault’s pendulum model 6. Rotation of a liquid 7. Doppler effect for a sound wave 8. Forced mechanical vibrations and resonance 9. The concept of the moment of inertia 10. Measuring the moment of inertia of a body of complex shape All installations for conducting demonstration experiments are assembled on the basis of an aluminum profile frame mounted on a rotating disk. Frame rotation is provided by a DC electric motor, powered by a control unit. A belt drive is used to transmit rotation from the motor to the frame, and the frame rotation speed is controlled using a built-in optoelectric sensor.
