Methodology for diagnosing and correcting constructive activity

The methodology for diagnosing and correcting constructive activity is aimed at studying the developmental features and identifying underdevelopment of constructive praxis in children of senior preschool and primary school age, as well as for building competent, targeted correctional and developmental work with children. The technique can be used in work with normally developing children, children with mental retardation and delayed mental development, both for diagnosing deficiencies in constructive praxis and for its development, as well as for predicting learning ability. The technique makes it possible to effectively identify the characteristic underdevelopment of spatial analysis and synthesis in intellectual disability already at the first level of diagnostic work. A qualitative analysis of the data obtained determines the reasons for the imperfection of constructive activity and the nature of the violations. The Methodological Recommendations provide an interpretation of various deviations in the development of constructive activity and its components, and also describe differential diagnostic criteria that make it possible to distinguish violations of constructive praxis with delayed mental development from its underdevelopment with mental retardation.
