Planetary mill MPP 1-4 designed for ultra-fine grinding of materials of varying strength and hardness to a finely dispersed state in a periodic mode using a dry or wet method and is used in the mining, metallurgical, construction, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The MPP 1-4 planetary mill can be used as a mixer for the preparation of emulsions, suspensions and slips. Grinding occurs due to simultaneous compression deformation and shear of material particles between the balls and the walls of the bowls. The size of the crushed material depends on the operating time of the mill, the physical properties of the material, the loading volume of the bowls, as well as the loading volume of the grinding balls. The bowl and balls can be made of hardened tool steel ХВГ (hardness 55-62 HRC), stainless steel 95Х18 (hardness 58-62 HRC), tungsten carbide, zirconium dioxide (hardness 1200-1250 HRC) or aluminum oxide (hardness 88-92 HRC).
