PURPOSE OF LAMPS Ultra-high-pressure spherical mercury-quartz lamps of the DRSh type are powerful, concentrated sources of radiation in the visible and ultraviolet parts of the spectrum. The lamps are intended for use in optical instruments and for laboratory research. II. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF LAMPS DRSh type lamps are designed to operate on alternating current with a voltage of 127V for DRSh 250-3 lamps and 220V for DRSh 500 M and DRSh 1000 lamps in series with chokes. During the first 10-15 minutes. after turning on the lamp, its electrical parameters change (unsteady mode), and then remain constant (steady state) at a constant mains voltage.
