Laboratory installation "Oscillations of a spring pendulum" by Naurash The oscillatory system is assembled on the basis of a guide located vertically. The spring is fixed in the upper part of the guide and is stretched by a movable carriage. The design of the carriage and guide ensure that the carriage slides along the guide. The carriage has holes for securing additional cargo. The digital optoelectric sensor, which measures the oscillation period of the system, is mounted on a vertical metal sheet and can be moved along its surface to be installed near the equilibrium position of the carriage. The readings of the optoelectric sensor are displayed on the computer screen in the form of a diagram showing the change in the state of the sensor (open/closed) over time. The data processing program allows you to set two markers at the points where the sensor state changes and determine the time interval between these events. During one period of oscillation, the optoelectric sensor is overlapped twice, and since the position of the sensor may not coincide with the equilibrium position of the pendulum, the period of oscillation is determined by the time interval between the corresponding edges (leading or trailing) of the nearest even or odd pulses on the screen.
