Laboratory installation "Study of the isobaric process" Naurash
The basis of the laboratory installation is a sealed gas tank, the volume of which is easily changed, maintaining a pressure difference between inside and outside close to zero. Inside the tank there is a sensitive element of the temperature sensor. The air volume in the tank is controlled using a volume sensor. Quasi-stationary conditions of the isobaric process are ensured by cooling the preheated reservoir in air for approximately 10 minutes. The tank and, accordingly, the air in it are heated by immersing it in hot water. Data recording is carried out automatically throughout the entire gas cooling process at constant pressure. Data processing includes plotting dependences of gas volume on temperature, expressed in degrees Celsius, and on absolute temperature. In the first graph, the tangent of the angle of inclination of the straight line approximating the data is used to calculate the temperature coefficient of volumetric expansion of the gas; in the second graph, the proportionality of volume to absolute temperature is illustrated.
