Corrective and developmental set “Sensory plates”
The original methodological set “Sensory Plates” is aimed at developing tactile perception and discrimination with complication in the form of cognitive load (counting, building number sequences). Recommended for individual work with children over 5 years old. The kit involves carrying out exercises both with full sensory control and with a conditionally isolated tactile channel. In this case, the cognitive load creates the conditions for so-called meaningful tactile exercises. Together with visual and auditory images, tactile images are an important source of thinking based on direct experience. Conditional isolation of the visual and auditory channels in the process of performing tasks creates a certain sensory deficit, which can only be overcome through increased concentration and a more careful analysis of tactile sensations. Classes with the “Sensory Plates” kit are aimed at developing thinking through tactile perception. The kit includes a collection of exercises that offers detailed tasks for children of different ages and different levels of development. Exercises significantly activate brain activity, improve memory, voluntary attention, and interhemispheric interaction. Classes with the kit help create conditions for better assimilation of new knowledge, which increases the student’s educational motivation and self-esteem. Doing exercises helps: Development of tactile sensations and sensory-motor coordination; Memory training; Improving the processes of concentration, distribution and switching of attention, development of voluntary attention in general; Training of mental operations (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, classification); Improving control over the results of activities: skills of independent search and correction of mistakes; Increasing the child's self-esteem. The “Sensor Plates” kit has been successfully used: When preparing children of senior preschool age for school; When working with school-age children (development of logical thinking; improvement of mental processes: memory, voluntary attention; development of creative abilities; preparation of mental activity for any complex intellectual work: lesson, test, homework, etc.); When working with gifted children; When working with children with mental retardation, intellectual and speech disorders (development of logical thinking activity); When working with children with ADHD (development of concentration, switching, distribution, focus, stability and attention span); When working with visually impaired and blind children (development of the compensatory analyzer - tactile perception). The “Sensory plates” set is intended for conducting correctional and developmental classes by teachers, psychologists, educators, speech therapists, and defectologists.
