Concentrator KN-2S. The concentration meter is designed to measure mass concentrations of petroleum products, fats, nonionic surfactants (NSAS) in natural objects. The concentration meter is designed to measure mass concentrations: petroleum products in samples of drinking, natural, sewage and treated wastewater; petroleum products in soil and bottom sediment samples; fats in samples of natural, waste and treated wastewater; petroleum products and fats (if they are present together) in samples of drinking, natural and treated wastewater; nonionic surfactants (NSAS) in samples of drinking, natural and waste waters; hydrocarbons (total) in samples of atmospheric air, work area air, and industrial emissions. While maintaining the measurement range of mass concentrations of substances in natural objects and the accuracy indicators of measurement methods, the device allows you to reduce the consumption of extractant and GSO when carrying out measurements and verification of the device by changing the upper limit of the measurement range of substances in the extractant. The operation of the devices is based on a photometric method for determining petroleum products, fats and nonionic surfactants in carbon tetrachloride in the infrared region of the spectrum at a wavelength of 3.42 micrometers. Infrared spectrophotometry is the most universal and reliable method for determining the content of petroleum products, taking into account aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons, the content of which in oil reaches 90%. The main advantage of the IR method is the weak dependence of the analytical signal on the type of petroleum product that forms the basis of sample contamination. Measurements are made in two-wave mode. The dual-wave mode allows you to measure the difference in optical densities of the analyzed solution at two wavelengths. The first measuring channel uses a spectral region of radiation = 3.42 µm. The second reference channel uses a spectral region in which petroleum products, fats and nonionic surfactants do not absorb IR radiation. The dialog mode of operation allows you to simplify the work with the device as much as possible. The main menu, which appears on the display when the device is ready for operation, contains six modes. Selecting and launching the required mode is carried out using the keys on the front panel. The device's functionality is checked automatically after switching on and periodically during operation. If the measurement mode is violated, a warning message appears on the device display.
