Conductivity meter HANNA HI 98308 PWT (pocket)
Conductivity meter HANNA HI 98308 PWT (pocket) The HI 98308 pocket conductometer (PWT) allows you to check the purity of distilled or demineralized water in laboratory or industrial conditions. Features and Benefits: Open temperature sensor. Designed for a very low electrical conductivity range from 0.0 to 99.9 µS/cm. Single point calibration. The conductivity meter is designed for applications such as circuit board washing, laundry, steam cleaning, testing water quality for car batteries, and all applications where distilled, demineralized or pure water is used. The tester's rugged housing provides excellent protection when used in harsh industrial environments. HI 98308 is equipped with an amperometric graphite electrode, which ensures high repeatability of measurements, since electrodes of this type are resistant to oxidation. Amperometric conductivity measurement is based on Ohm's law: I = V / R, where R depends on the distance between the electrodes and their material. Oxidation changes both the distance between the electrodes and the surface material, which affects the accuracy. Oxidation-resistant graphite electrodes provide high accuracy and reliability of measurements. When calibration is required, simply dip the electrode into the reference solution and adjust the reading using the calibration screw and screwdriver. The HI 98308 PWT conductometric liquid analyzer is ideal for both laboratory analysis and field work. Electrical conductivity (abbreviated EC for Electrolytic conductivity) depends on the electrical charge on atoms and larger particles that move in a medium under the influence of potential differences. This value is the reciprocal of the electrical resistance. The more salts in a solution that can dissociate into ions and transfer electrical charge, the higher the electrical conductivity value. It follows from this that electrical conductivity is directly proportional to mineralization. In the most general case, the proportionality coefficient is 0.5, however, it can vary depending on the nature of the dissolved salts. Also, the value of electrical conductivity can be influenced by factors such as ion mobility, solution viscosity and temperature. Manba: https://www.nv-lab.ru/catalog_info.php?ID=2696
