Logotherapeutic biofeedback (speech therapy) complex “Biosvyaz”
The BFB software-indicator complex registers and processes simultaneously the signals of heart rate (HR) and respiratory rate (RR) with the separation of inhalation and exhalation. The complex has a speech bank (poetry, prose), which can be constantly replenished. Based on the obtained values of the processed signals of heart rate, respiratory rate and speech bank, the program evenly arranges speech material for reading during exhalation. Biofeedback signals are presented on the computer monitor screen in the form of visual images that change in accordance with inhalation/exhalation (change of slides, uniform expansion of text, etc.), as well as in the form of sound signals (threshold on/off, change in tone, etc.). The program carries out simultaneous processing of heart rate and respiratory rate with sequential setting of the required characteristics of inhalation/exhalation duration, uniform arrangement of text material during exhalation, and indication via multimedia biofeedback channels of deviations of real indicators from the reference ones. Building a program on a modular basis allows you to freely plan a session and manage its progress. Various levels of complexity of plot settings make it possible to adapt them to your requirements, from choosing the type of feedback to creating your own version of the plot. The complex provides constant monitoring of changes in a person’s functional state at rest and during speech loads with the determination of the “physiological price” of speech and changes in speech quality, and also allows for step-by-step improvement of speech using the biofeedback method.
