Van de Graaff generator

The Van de Graaff generator is intended for conducting demonstration experiments in electrostatics, including demonstrating the electrification of bodies in mutual contact and a spark gas discharge in air. What the child will learn: The child will become familiar with the transfer of charges and the creation of high voltage in experiments on electrostatics, which are illustrated by a Van de Graaff generator. Working method Allows you to teach the main stages of conducting experimental research, and also allows you to conduct joint research with students. Electrostatic Interaction Simulation Software Simulation software provides consideration of the interaction of charges placed on the conducting surfaces of two spheres. The simulation software allows you to specify the radius of the spheres, the distance between their centers, and the amount of charge placed on the spheres. In addition, it is established whether the signs of the charges on the spheres coincide or are opposite. The software calculates the charge distribution over the surface of each sphere and the electrostatic field strength in the gap between the spheres. The data is output in the form of a graph of changes in the electric field in the gap between the spheres, as well as in the form of a 3D animation of the location of charges on the surface of the spheres. For purposes of clarity, the formation of the final charge density distribution is shown as an animation using the example of individual point charges distributed over the surface of spheres. To operate the device, an additional power source with a voltage of at least 15V is required, for example, a 24V power supply regulated with a load current of up to 10A. Important: The product is included in the register of industrial products manufactured on the territory of the Russian Federation 2740\10\2022.
