Pure hydrogen generator GVCh-9M
Pure hydrogen generator GVCh-9M designed to produce hydrogen of the highest purity, used to power analytical instruments (chromatographs, gas analyzers, etc.). The resulting hydrogen is usually used to power flame ionization detectors. The water treatment system allows you to use distilled water to power the device, which greatly facilitates the operation of the generator, and control of the purity of the water entering the electrolysis module allows you to extend the service life of the module - the heart of the device. The hydrogen output moisture control system informs the operator of the need to calcinate the filters, which prevents the possibility of moisture entering the output line. The depressurization control system blocks the generation of hydrogen if a significant leak occurs in the generator-chromatograph system. Hydrogen in the generator is obtained by electrolysis of purified water in an electrolyzer made on a solid electrolyte - an ion-exchange polymer membrane. The electrolyzer electrodes are titanium, separated by insulating gaskets made of oxygen-resistant material. The generator is refilled with distilled water. The amount of water in the supply tank is controlled by level sensors, and the purity of the water being filled is controlled by a built-in conductivity meter. The device provides periodic circulation of water with cleaning in a deionization filter cartridge. In the electrolyzer, water is decomposed into oxygen and hydrogen, which come out separately. Oxygen is released into the atmosphere through the feed tank. Hydrogen enters the separator, where its primary separation from water occurs. The return of water from the separator to the supply tank is carried out through an electromagnetic valve when the water in the separator reaches a certain level. This device design allows for continuous operation of the generator with on-the-go refueling. The hydrogen then passes through fine filters, where it is finally dried. An electronic pressure sensor is installed at the generator output, the measurement results of which are used to indicate (on the display) and regulate the pressure in the consumer line. To prevent an emergency situation when “traffic jams” occur in the internal communications of the device, a limit pressure sensor is connected to the separator, which is triggered at a pressure of about 6.5 ati. At the same time, electrolysis stops and emergency signals appear. The generator is equipped with a hydrogen moisture control system to prevent moisture from entering the output line. Performs the function of monitoring the depressurization of gas lines. If a leak occurs during operation, the generator stops generating hydrogen after a minute. The device has a “blow-off” stage, which ensures an accelerated return of the entire chromatographic complex to operating mode. The generator meets the electrical safety requirements of class 1, type N according to GOST 12.2.025-76. Manba: https://www.nv-lab.ru/catalog_info.php?ID=5943
