Pure hydrogen generator GVCh-16M1

Pure hydrogen generator GVCh-16M1 designed to produce hydrogen of the highest purity, used to power analytical instruments (chromatographs, gas analyzers, etc.). Due to the high output pressure, deep purification and low moisture content, the hydrogen produced by the generator can be used as a carrier gas. Hydrogen in the generator is obtained by electrolysis of purified water in an electrolyzer made on a solid electrolyte - an ion-exchange polymer membrane. The generator is refilled with distilled water. The amount of water in the supply tank is controlled by level sensors, and the purity of the water being filled is controlled by a built-in conductivity meter. When the quality of water entering the electrolysis module deteriorates, periodic circulation of water occurs with cleaning in the deionization filter cartridge. In the electrolyzer, water is decomposed into oxygen and hydrogen, which come out separately. Oxygen is released into the atmosphere through the feed tank. Hydrogen enters the separator, where its primary separation from water occurs. The return of water from the separator to the supply tank is carried out through an electromagnetic valve when the water in the separator reaches a certain level. This device design allows for continuous operation of the generator with on-the-go refueling. The hydrogen then passes through a reactor, where it is removed from the oxygen impurity that diffuses through the electrolyzer membrane. The final purification of hydrogen occurs in the built-in automatic regeneration system for fine filters. An electronic pressure sensor is installed at the generator output, the results of which are used for indication (on a digital display) and regulation of pressure in the consumer line. To prevent an emergency situation when “traffic jams” occur in the internal communications of the device, a limit pressure sensor is connected to the separator. At the same time, electrolysis stops and emergency signals appear. You can interrupt the emergency situation by removing the hydrogen pressure in the gas line. The generator is equipped with an emergency shutdown system for the device in case of a significant increase in the moisture content in the output hydrogen. The device performs the function of monitoring the depressurization of gas lines. If a leak occurs during operation, the generator stops generating hydrogen after a minute. The generator has a “blow-off” stage, which ensures an accelerated return of the entire chromatographic complex to operating mode. The generator meets the electrical safety requirements of class 1, type N according to GOST 12.2.025-76. Manba: https://www.nv-lab.ru/catalog_info.php?ID=5785
