pH electrode OHAUS Starter STREF2 (reference electrode, saturated, calomel). pH electrode OHAUS Starter STREF2 for repeated high-precision measurements. Reference electrodes have a stable and precisely defined electrochemical potential (at a constant temperature), relative to which the potentials in electrochemical cells are measured. The STREF2 pH electrode is a saturated calomel electrode (Hg/Hg2Cl2 in saturated KCl solution). The disadvantage is that it cannot be used at temperatures above 50°C due to the decomposition of Hg2Cl2. The electrode can be used with stationary and portable Starter devices.
