Combination electrode HANNA HI 1083B (glass)
Combination electrode HANNA HI 1083B (glass) Micro pH electrode with glass body, one salt bridge and BNC connector. The electrode has a unique design with an open diaphragm, Viskolen gel electrolyte without silver chloride (AgCl), located between the sample being measured and the reference electrode. The electrode has a membrane of only 3 mm in diameter and can be used for pH measurements in samples with a volume of 100 µl. The HI 1083B is ideal for 96-well microplate measurements and for high-value samples for which only small volumes are available. General purpose glass General purpose glass, as the name suggests, is glass of standard composition used for general purposes. A pH electrode with such glass has a resistance of 100 MΩ at 25 °C and is suitable for measuring pH samples at room temperature. HI 1083B is suitable for measuring samples with temperatures from 0 to 50 °C. Miniature membrane The 3 mm membrane allows measurements in samples with a volume of less than 100 µl. In biotechnology, samples can be examined in test tubes, ampoules, and NMR tubes, which is easily done using the miniature HI 1083B membrane. Glass body The glass body is ideal for laboratory use. Glass is resistant to various aggressive environments and is easy to clean. The glass housing also facilitates rapid heat transfer to the internal reference electrode. The voltage generated by the reference electrode depends on temperature. The faster the electrode reaches equilibrium, the more stable the potential of the reference electrode. Reference electrode with open diaphragm Suspended solids and proteins found in food clog the ceramic diaphragm. Clogging interferes with the measurement circuit between the indicator and reference electrodes, resulting in slow response, data drift, and frequent electrode replacement. The open aperture design involves contact of the Ag/AgCl reference electrode with the sample through a solid gel (viskolen). This interaction prevents silver ions from entering the sample and does not cause clogging, resulting in fast response and data stability. BNC connector The HI 1083B uses a BNC connection. This is a universal connection that allows the electrode to be used on any pH meter with the same type of connection. Other types of connections are DIN, threaded, T-shaped and 3.5 mm. These types of connections are typically specific to a specific type of device and are not interchangeable. Manba: https://www.nv-lab.ru/catalog_info.php?ID=3939
