Combination electrode HANNA FC 210B (glass)
Combination electrode HANNA FC 210B (glass) FC 210B is a pH electrode in a glass housing, with a double salt bridge and a BNC connector. Features FC 210B is an open diaphragm with viscolen gel electrolyte, a conical sensing membrane made of low temperature glass. The electrode design is ideal for measuring pH in products such as creams, yoghurts, semi-solid samples or emulsions. Recommended application range is from 0 to 50 °C. Area of application: dairy industry. Low temperature glass The electrode membrane is made of low-temperature glass with a resistance reduced by 50 MΩ compared to the resistance of general purpose glass (OH) of 100 MΩ. This is an advantage since many foods are stored at low temperatures. As the glass in the sample cools, the resistance of LT glass increases, approaching the resistance of OH glass at room temperature. If OH glass was used, the resistance would increase above the optimal input impedance of the pH meter. FC 210B is suitable for measuring samples from 0 to 50 °C. Conical membrane The conical shape of the membrane allows penetration into solid, semi-solid samples and emulsions for direct pH measurements in foods including meats, cheeses, yogurt and milk. Glass body The glass body is ideal for laboratory use. Glass is resistant to various aggressive environments and is easy to clean. The glass housing also facilitates rapid heat transfer to the internal reference electrode. The voltage generated by the reference electrode depends on temperature. The faster the electrode reaches equilibrium, the more stable the potential of the reference electrode. Reference electrode with open diaphragm Suspended solids and proteins found in food clog the ceramic diaphragm. Clogging interferes with the measurement circuit between the indicator and reference electrodes, resulting in slow response, data drift, and frequent electrode replacement. The open aperture design involves contact of the Ag/AgCl reference electrode with the sample through a solid gel (viskolen). This interaction prevents silver ions from entering the sample and does not cause clogging, resulting in fast response and data stability. BNC connector The FC 210B uses a BNC connection. This is a universal connection that allows the electrode to be used on any pH meter with the same type of connection. Other types of connections are DIN, threaded, T-shaped and 3.5 mm. These types of connections are typically specific to a specific type of device and are not interchangeable. Manba: https://www.nv-lab.ru/catalog_info.php?ID=2684
