Silver chloride electrode
Silver chloride electrode designed to create a reference potential when working in tandem with a working (indicating) electrode. The silver chloride electrode is used as a reference electrode and an auxiliary electrode as part of the electrochemical cell of a voltammetric analyzer. The silver chloride electrode (SSA) is a spiral of silver wire coated with silver chloride and placed in a polypropylene housing with a semi-permeable aluminum oxide plug. Before use, the electrode body is filled with a solution of potassium chloride with a concentration of 1 mol/l. The silver chloride electrode is used in accordance with the applied measurement technique as a reference electrode, an auxiliary electrode, or used when modifying the surface of the working electrode. Each HSE is supplied complete with a protective cap. The quantity of CSE in the delivery set is specified by the consumer at the purchase stage and is determined by the measurement methodology in accordance with which the CSE is planned to be used. Additionally, the delivery package may include a spare HSE housing, which is used in case the plug becomes dirty during operation of the electrode. The CSE is included in the package of the voltammetric analyzer TA-Lab and the arsenic analyzer PAN-As and is replaceable throughout the entire service life of these analyzers.
