The sensor has a specialized chip that calculates time in seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years and stores this value in its registers. For uninterrupted operation of the microcircuit, the Sensor has a CR1220 battery, which provides power to the microcircuit in the absence of power. If there is power, the microcontroller located inside the Sensor reads data from the chip and provides it to the I2C bus at the request of the Master on the bus.
