During the learning process, children will become familiar with the operation of a motor, lever, gear train, by programming the movement of mechanisms, learn to synchronize the operation of two motors, and create light, sound and signaling devices. The ABC of Robotics kit is equipped with teaching aids with step-by-step instructions for conducting 28 classes. The kit develops skills in assembling composite models, including the simplest components and mechanisms, creative thinking, basic skills in writing programs and managing peripheral devices. Pictogram programming promotes the development of logical thinking, imagination, spatial orientation, teaches children to plan their actions, draw up algorithms and even write code, awakens interest in technology and the desire for new knowledge. During the learning process, children will become familiar not only with the operation of the motor, but also by programming the movement of mechanisms, they will learn to synchronize the operation of two motors and create light and sound signaling devices. All tasks are designed for joint partnership between a child and an adult. If work on the textbook is carried out with children who do not yet know how to read or do it with great difficulty, then an adult can read the text and give explanations to it. The textbook is addressed to teachers of preschool educational organizations, primary school teachers, heads of clubs and studios, as well as parents and tutors. 1. Areas of knowledge and application Direct educational activities: studying the basics of logic, introduction to educational robotics, design, pictogram programming. The equipment and methodological base can be used in the development of additional education programs and the organization of clubs in the natural sciences and technology (circles such as “I want to know everything!”, “Young scientist”, “Young programmer”). The kit is equipped with teaching aids with step-by-step instructions for conducting 28 classes. 2. What will the child learn? The “ABC of Robotics” set is intended for mastering the basics of design, as well as pictogram programming based on the Studuino controller. Classes with the ABC of Robotics constructor develop creative imagination, fantasy, and creative thinking. During the learning process, children will become familiar with the operation of the motor, lever, and gear train. Through programming the movement of mechanisms, they will learn to synchronize the operation of two motors and create light and sound signaling devices. 3. Working methods Individual, group lessons, subgroups. For ease of storage, all parts of the designer are packed in a special tray. 1 set (1 tray) is designed for 1-2 children to work simultaneously and assemble one robot. The more trays, the more children in a subgroup can study at the same time. In one lesson (30 minutes) you can assemble, program, play and disassemble the robot. 4. Contents of the kit The set is based on cubes measuring 2x2x2 cm. The kit consists of building blocks of various shapes, motors, LEDs, a buzzer, a Studuino controller, pictogram programming software and auxiliary elements. Computers/laptops/tablets are not included. 5. Methodological support The set includes teaching aids with step-by-step instructions. The total number of workbooks is 6 pieces: 3 notebooks on design + 3 notebooks on robot programming. A4 format. From 1 set you can assemble 14 moving robots according to the instructions + an endless number of original robots, revealing the creative imagination of the child. 6. Teacher training To work with the ABC of Robotics module, the teacher does not need special scientific and technical knowledge.
