3D printer Prusa i3 Steel v2
The Prusa i3 Steel v2 3D printer has become a long-awaited update to the popular line of FDM devices with kinematics from the Russian company 3DIY, which entered the market in 2019. The new version has received many improvements, including an improved body, optimized mechanics, a new extruder and an increased build area - now it is 200 x 200 x 270 mm. The first thing that attracts attention in the appearance of the new printer is its body, made of 3 mm steel sheets. There are no pins or plastic parts in its design, and many stiffening ribs make the frame strong and increase resistance to vibration. All this had a positive effect on print quality. In addition to the new frame, version v2 received a lot of other improvements. Instead of linear bearings on the couplers, linear modules are now used, and instead of simple bearings, rollers with flanges are used, belt bearings have been replaced, optical limit switches have become more accurate, lightweight and more reliable carriages are now located on all axes, and guide shafts are end-locked. An important innovation was the replacement of the extruder with a proven model from BondTech with Dual Drive technology. Its two toothed gears push the plastic simultaneously, which ensures reliable grip and continuous filament supply. In addition, the extruder has an improved gearbox, enhanced airflow, a guide channel for printing with flexible materials, precise pressure adjustment and the ability to quickly replace plastic. Replaceable nozzles with a diameter of 0.2-1 mm can be installed on it. Separately, it is worth noting the versatility of this model - it is optimized for working with many types of thermoplastics: ABS, PLA, PETg, HIPS, PVA, FLEX, RUBBER, CPE, PC, Nylon and others. Compared to previous generation models, all electronics have been significantly improved, and as a result, the printer demonstrates high operating stability. All electronic components are located in a separate closed housing with ventilation. Nearby is a multifunctional Russian-language LCD display. You can print from SD cards right out of the box. When purchasing, you can choose an 8-bit or an advanced 32-bit control board. Like other products from 3DIY, the new 3D printer Prusa i3 Steel v2 is highly customizable, although its basic functionality is quite sufficient for many tasks. In addition to the improved board, you can additionally install on it: RGB backlight; "Quiet" TMC 2208 drivers with a pitch of 1/256; Closed casing; Table auto-calibration sensor; Thread end sensor; Dust filter.
