The nozzle is movable, due to which the entire printed assembly moves less along the Z-axis. For this reason, printing takes less time and is more accurate. The thickness of one printed layer is about 100 microns. The Replicator + 3D printer is initially designed to work with environmentally friendly PLA filament and its varieties, including Tough PLA - an engineering type of material that combines the positive qualities of PLA and ABS plastics. The manufacturer recommends using the following types of materials for printing: MakerBot PLA FilamentLarge Spool; MakerBot PLA FilamentSmall Spool; MakerBot Tough PLA Filament Large Spool.
