The Bambu Lab P2S 3D printer is an updated model of the P1S, establishing itself as the industry standard for commercial print farms and demanding users. This version retains the key principles of reliability and productivity, while receiving a set of second-generation technologies that take print quality, operational efficiency and functionality to new levels. Completely redesigned extruder system based on PMSM servomotor. It delivers up to 8.5 kg extrusion force, which is 70% higher than the previous generation and provides exceptional stability for high-speed printing. To ensure accuracy, the system is equipped with a high-frequency eddy current sensor, which calibrates the filament flow in real time, compensating for possible deviations and ensuring impeccable quality throughout the entire build area. The P2S design has been optimized to work with a wide range of engineering and composite materials. The adaptive microclimate control system in the chamber allows maintaining temperatures up to 50°C, which prevents deformation (warping) of critical parts. Fully reinforced extruder circuit, including hardened steel gears and nozzle, ensures long life when handling abrasive filaments. The cooling efficiency of complex overhangs is increased due to a reorganized system with an influx of cold air from outside. From an operational perspective, P2S offers a number of solutions that reduce labor costs. The quick-release hotend allows nozzle replacement in less than 30 seconds without having to unplug cables. The built-in neuroprocessor-based monitoring system (2 TOPS) detects defects such as spaghetti and filament jamming, increasing the degree of process autonomy. For remote monitoring and documentation of work, an updated camera with 1080p resolution and an improved lighting scheme is used. The printer is seamlessly integrated into the Bambu Lab ecosystem, providing access to the extensive library of models on the MakerWorld platform and design tools in MakerLab. The Combo P2S comes with the AMS 2 Pro automatic material feeding system, which opens up possibilities for multi-color printing and filament pre-drying.
