The new model of the 3DiY BiZon 2 3D printer has completely different mechanics. The basis is the COREX XY kinematics, which has established itself as one of the best for 3D printers. Along the X and Y axes, instead of shafts, rail guides are now installed, which has a beneficial effect on the print quality and speed characteristics of the printer. Along the Z axis there are polished shafts with a diameter of 16 mm! Instead of the usual screw drive along the Z axis, the design uses a belt drive, thereby eliminating the appearance of “wobbling” by 100%. In order to remove the effect of “self-lowering” of the platform and remove the load from the engine, a wide belt is installed in the design using a pulley system. Instead of a conventional Z-axis motor, a stepper motor with gearbox is used. The printer body is made of 4 mm thick aluminum composite material and 2 mm thick steel elements. Thanks to this, the body is not only rigid and reliable, but also non-flammable (all materials are highly fire resistant). If it is necessary to print with high-temperature materials that have high shrinkage, the housing can optionally be equipped with a door and plexiglass windows that cover the 3D printer on all sides. The closed housing protects the printing area from influences and temperature changes in the external environment, so that the printed model will not undergo greater shrinkage and will not come off the platform during printing.
